Shelters are full of senior dogs that are discarded. Most of them just need some TLC and warm bed for the final years.
I adopted Frodo from a shelter in Killeen, Tx. He is a very healthly senior with the exception of very bad teeth. His dental surgery is schedule for 4/4/13. I choose Frodo because he was a senior and no rescues in Texas were able to help him because they were full. Frodo was very thin and fragile and was getting no interest. His time was going to run out because the shelter had hit capacity.
