London Travel Massive - 2nd Birthday Party

— Thursday, November 1, 2012 at 6PM —

The Kensington Hotel

109-113 Queen's Gate, SW7 5LP

Come to The Kensington hotel on 1 November to help us celebrate London Travel Massive's second bitthday.

We will be holding this event, only a few days before World Travel Market starts, at the swanky Kensington hotel.
We have teamed up with, who are celebrating their birthday, to make sure this is one of the biggest and best Travel Massives of the year.  Don’t worry though, even thought this is one of the top hotels in London, we haven’t put a dress code in place!

And there’s more... Jodi Ettenberg (@legalnomads), Janice Waugh (@solotraveler) Sarah and Terry Lee (@livesharetravel) will present to launch their new range of books,  The Traveler's Handbook series, along with titles by Shannon O’Donnell (@shannonRTW) and Jeff Jung (@careerbrksecret). We have decided to join forces for this and have the book launch at Travel Massive, so come early to be part of their launch.  We intend on the book launch running from about 6 until 7pm with a panel discussion featuring three of the authors, and the rest of the Travel Massive event continuing into the night after that.  For more information on the range of new books, visit and come along for a Q&A with the authors on 1 November!

Sponsored by Expedia!!
For anyone that couldn’t make it to TBEX Europe last month, Expedia launched its Blogger Shaped Travel programme, offering bloggers the opportunity to create their own people shaped travel guides. Participating bloggers’ insights and experiences will be shared on Expedia’s social media pages and on the InsideExpedia pages on Expedia. Expedia will also  be helping to connect the participating bloggers with local experts in their area of interest to help them prepare and get the most out of their trip. The first blog trip (for English speaking bloggers in Europe) was to Rome (#ExpRome), and the second trip to London will be going live on jobs board this month, with further trips to follow shortly afterwards. To get involved you just need to submit you weekend itinerary for a city break, the best concept-guides will then be selected via a community vote on Facebook, with four people invited to travel and produce their own People Shaped Guides.

Expedia is also supporting Passports with Purpose who are just about to launch their 2012 fundraiser. This year, the Passports with Purpose programme will be raising money for, and as part of this activity Expedia is looking for a bloggers to get involved and support the fundraiser across the world.

The Expedia team will be at the event, so if anyone would like any more information on how to get involved with the Blogger Shaped Travel campaign and Passports with Purpose activity and a whole host of other activities Expedia is working on– feel free to grab them, or pop by the Expedia airline seats for a chat.

Further news on Expedia’s on the night competition to follow too!

As usual with Travel Massive events, the night will be for casual networking with people from all sectors of the Travel Industry. It would be great to see as many people as possible there.
